my guitars
simply acoustic
I love OM style steel-string guitars, pioneered by the Grand-daddy of all modern steel string guitar makers - Martin.
I build my own slightly larger version of this classic (can you say "O-M-J !") focusing on an instrument that will develop and mature into a large and bold sound and is shaped and set up to have musician preferred feel and play-ability. The end result is a great guitar that I put my passion into building, and is one that stands out for its look, sound and feel.
I only build two versions - the "rego" a fancier version (with items to make it that way chosen by you) and the "player" the instrument that includes all items that real guitar players have told me they want in a guitar. Both are beautiful to look at and real nice sounding.
Pricing for my acoustic starts at $2,222 (Yup that's right; if you were a betting person had four '2's in your hand, you know you would go far). You choose - with me - how it will look and feel, and on certain niceties (pickup, special back/side wood, etc.) to get to the end. We'll agree on what is an 'extra cost' item (like a pickup, or real expensive wood) beforehand. It'll be a "rego" when it looks fancy.
my "special gregoire" - the "s g"
I have a special admiration for the handful of players of yore who used the Gibson SG as a primary instrument. Terry Kath, Pete Townsend, Angus Young. All got great sound from their guitars.
Having studied the original design and learned all about the good and bad of the SG neck, body and resonance designs, I've got my own version of a hand built "special gregoire" or 'sg' for short. Looking for an 'sg' body style ?
Four are currently available in stock. Two have a figured maple top in a dense mahogony body; two have a plain top. All are unfinished right now so you can work with me for your choice of what it will look and feel like - colour, neck shape and finish texture.
Contact me and I'll be happy to get one of these going for you. Pricing here starts at $1,750.
Your favourite guitar could be like a Stratocaster ...
Do you want a special electric that will stand out from the one that "What's his name' is playing?
I'm working with fellow luthier Kyle Cronier of 'Flair Guitar Co' to combine modern design and execution in building solid bodies with our love of rich, gorgeous, spalted maple, harvested from my property.
These custom Stratocaster style guitars come stock with everything to make it a great guitar, including an Alder body, spalted maple top, quilted maple neck and Canadian hand-wound 'soultone' pickups. We have a couple in stock and can easily customize a special order to help shape your sound and special feel. I love OM style steel-string guitars, pioneered by the Grand-daddy of all modern steel string guitar makers - Martin.
I build my own "full bodied" version of this classic (can you say "O-M-J !"). I focus on an instrument that will develop and mature with a rich and bold sound and is shaped and set up to have musician preferred feel and play-ability. The end result is a great guitar that I put my passion into building, and is one that stands out for its look, sound and feel.

Pricing for my OM acoustic starts at $2,850. You choose - with me - how it will look and feel, and on certain niceties (pickup, nut width, cut-away, special back/side wood, etc.) to get to the end. We'll agree on what is an 'extra cost' item (like a pickup, a cut-away or real expensive wood) beforehand. It'll always be a "player", but it will become a "rego" when it looks fancy.
Check with me, I may have one or two on hand. Every guitar I have (prototype or not) is for sale, at some price.
my "special gregoire" - the "s g"
I have a special admiration for the handful of players of yore who used the Gibson SG as a primary instrument. Terry Kath, Pete Townsend, Angus Young. All were unique in their styling and got great sound from SG guitars.
Having studied the original design and learned all about the good and bad of the SG neck, body and resonance designs, I've got my own version of a hand built "special gregoire" or "sg" for short.
Four are currently available in stock. Two have a figured maple top in a dense mahogony body; two have a plain top and regular mahogony for the body. Three are unfinished right now so you can work with me for your choice of what it will look and feel like - colour, neck shape and finish texture. One is finished with a candy-apple red burst over the maple top. It's veerryy nice.
Contact me and I'll be happy to get one of these finished for you. Pricing here starts at $1,750 and we can discuss extras to make it "just right".
Your favourite guitar could be like a Strat-o ... you know.
Do you want a special electric that will stand out from the one that "What's his name' is playing?" I'm can fill the requests - that always come in - to combine modern design and execution in building solid body 'strat-o style' guitars with my love of rich, gorgeous, spalted maple.
I build them both from scratch and/or I refurbish well played, but maybe neglected / older instruments to make them special again.
These custom 'strato-style' guitars come with some niceties like spalted maple on the top, maple neck and perhaps Canadian hand-wound pickups. I always have a rebuild in stock and can easily make this a special order to reflect your sound and your kind of exquisitely playable guitar.
